I’ve finally upped my Difficulty setting to “Normal”. I’m currently at Level 115 and still in the NG4. Now that I’m comfortable with the skills (I still can’t use the Targeting System worth a darn), but soon I’ll go to “Hard”.
I’m sure I wouldn’t be this far along if I hadn’t begun at Very Easy difficulty. There is so much to learn. I’m a good gamer but no where near a strong gamer. Here are a couple things the lower difficulties do for you: 1) Your enemies are less challenging (you die less); 2) You get greater access to resources and loot (you can build more).
I’ve played at all difficulty levels in other games. And I believe that playing at a lower difficulty doesn’t make the challenges significantly less challenging because you must solve complex problems and confront formidable foes. And literally, only 1.25% of all Starfield players have reached Level 100.
For anyone having difficulty with Starfield, I recommend lowering your Difficulty. There’s nothing to be ashamed of because only 43% of players make it to Level 5 (check the stats; 13,000,000+ players). I chat with some players I meet on @X/Twitter from time to time and some of them seem overwhelmed by game.
Anyway, my recent sentimental journey back to Fallout 4 was enjoyable, but…
